Tropicana Field – Featured Project

One of our featured projects is Tropicana field with the help of FieldTurf Tarkett, our staff, and the Tropicana personnel. The first step was to remove and replace the clay from the infield with field turf in November of 2008. This prepped the field in order to create a football field for the St. Pete Bowl between USF and Memphis. After the game, we went in after the field turf was taken up and put the clay back in. We then reworked the clay, and laser graded the field to meet existing surroundings. We successfully turned the field back into a baseball field that was ready for the players to win some games on!

In early March, Laserturf completed the renovation of Turner Field.  We were contracted to go in and strip the turf off the infield, hips, back arc, and foul lines.  We lasergraded the existing material to tie into the warning track and existing outfield grass.  Upon completion of the grading Laserturf along with the Atlanta Braves crew laid the new sod and laser graded the skinned area.

Laserturf produced a new field for the Atlanta Braves in an effort to give the players and the management group the best surface possible to play on and an easy surface to maintain.
